Brandon Nakashima, who is 20 years old, continues his strong performance on the hard courts of the American Tour Series. In the second round in Washington, the Atalanta finalist defeated Britain’s Daniel Evans, -7/6, 6/0.
A boost in confidence after his winning streak
Nakashima had won 10 of his last 12 matches on hard courts. His winning streak started at Los Cabos two weeks ago. These successful performances helped Brandon debut in the top 100 of the ATP rankings and move him up to No. 89 on the all-time list.
The #NextGenATP American, Brandon Nakashima commented on his victory in the second round of the Washington tournament to the ATP press office.
“I feel great. I’ve played a lot of matches in the last two weeks and I got a lot of confidence. It’s helped me a lot that I’ve come a long way in the last few tournaments.
I think it’s important for any player to feel like he’s playing well and putting up a winning streak. I’ll try to make the most of it,” Brandon said.
