Jannik Sinner has won twelve of the sixteen tiebreaks he has played in this season. Jannik Sinner reached at least the semifinals in three of the seven tournaments he took part in. Jannik Sinner, in Barcelona, after beating Egor Gerasimov and Roberto Bautista Agut has also put Andrey Rublev in the notebook of victims.
A statement from Sinner 😳

Sinner commented on his win over Andrey Rublev in Barcelona.
I’m trying to get better. It was my first match against him. He’s already played a lot of matches this year – maybe he got a little tired after the week in Monte Carlo. I tried to play my game and try to win the match. In the end it was hard, I lost three break points in 5/5. But I tried to keep showing my game. Of course, we train for the sake of such matches. And for me now it’s important to gain this experience.
Jannik Sinner
The first semifinal in a 500 tournament
Tomorrow he will play his first semifinal in a 500 tournament and he will face the hottest and fittest player of the moment, Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek, the fresh winner of Monte Carlo, won today as well against the 20-year-old Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime. There was no history: 6-3 6-3 in an hour and twenty. The number 5 of the world is playing a very high level of tennis, perhaps he is the best Tsitsipas of his still-young career.
For Sinner, it will be a tough match, but one that will tell us a lot about his current level. Certainly, there will be nothing to lose and in any case it will be a useful match to gain experience. The two have already faced each other twice, interestingly both times in Rome in 2019 and 2020. The first one was a clear victory of the Greek against a still underage Jannik, the second one last September was won by Sinner 6-1 6-7 6-2. A strange match where honestly Titsipas played very badly.
