Australian Ashleigh Barty commented on her refusal to play together with the British Andy Murray at Wimbledon.
“Andy wrote to me in front of Roland Garros and offered to play in doubles. The refusal was the hardest decision in my career. I decided to go together with Vika Azarenka, and three digits are too much for me.
It was difficult to refuse such a champion as Andy. I tried to explain it somehow, but I just can’t do it. But I think he has a candidate from which he can choose, ”the WTA press service quotes Barty as saying.
