Aryna Sabalenka has been killing it this season and most recently reached the semifinals of Wimbledon for the first time in her career. Not only does she have two titles to show from this year, but both are on prestigious tennis courts such as Abu Dhabi (in UAE) and Madrid where she managed strong wins against high-ranking players such as Ash Barty who is ranked first worldwide.
After making her 1st major quarterfinal, Aryna Sabalenka books her 1st major semifinal.
The No.2 seed overpowers Ons Jabeur to win 64 63 and set up a SF vs. former No.1 Karolina Pliskova.

A medal at the Olympics
In an interview with the ITF press service Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka shared her performance expectations for the Olympics in Tokyo
“It’s the first Olympics for me, I’m throwing myself a new challenge. I am very happy that I can represent my country and my people, strong people who can overcome anything. Of course, I want Belarus to be proud of me. It is very important for me. A medal at the Olympics is a long-time dream of mine, and I will do everything to fulfill it. The Olympics in Tokyo was to be held from 24 July to 9 August, 2020. Because of the pandemic the competition was postponed for a year and will be held from July 23 to August 8, 2021.
