Australian representative Ajla Tomljanovic broke the barrier of the 1/2 final of the competition in Hua Hin, beating Slovene Tamara Zidansek in two sets – 6/4, 6/1.
For 1 hour and 13 minutes of the match, the 49th racket of the world, 25-year-old Islay, made four breaks and six aces, making four wrong mistakes when serving. 21-year-old Zidansek, occupying the 74th position in the world classification, made one ace and one double mistake.
Previously, the account in the personal meetings of the athletes was equal – 1: 1. In the finals of the Toyota Thailand Open tournament, Tomljanovic will play either with the Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska or with the Polish woman Magda Lynette.
