Croatian tennis player Donna Vekic overcame the barrier of the second round of the competition in St. Petersburg, beating Russian player Veronika Kudermetova in two sets – 6/4, 6/3.
For 1 hour and 15 minutes of the match, the 30th racket of the world, 22-year-old Donna, recorded four breaks and six aces, having made a mistake three times in the presentation. The 21-year-old Kudermetova, who occupies the 108th line of the world table of ranks, once took the pitch of a rival, made three aces and two double mistakes.
