Croatian tennis player Donna Vekic overcame the barrier of the first round of the tournament in St. Petersburg, beating the Swiss Timea Bacsinszky in three sets – 4/6, 6/1, 6/3.

The 30th racket of the world, 22-year-old Donna, made five bras and three aces, making four wrong mistakes when serving. 29-year-old Bacsinszky, who occupies the 112th position in the world classification, took the opponent’s bid twice, made one ace and one double mistake.
