Veronika Kudermetova started the 2023 tennis season in Adelaide, Australia. After initial wins against Amanda Anisimova and Bianca Andreescu, she was ousted in the quarterfinals by Irina-Camelia Begu. Following this, she moved to Adelaide 2 where she impressively reached the semifinals, defeating high profile players like Victoria Azarenka and Danielle Collins. However, Belinda Bencic ended her campaign in the semifinals.
