The European Open is a professional tennis tournament that will be played on hard courts at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium. It has an 8500 seating capacity for concerts and 5200 for sporting events making it one of Europe’s premier venues! The opening ceremony took place on March 10th, 2007 after nine months of construction time which spared no expense to make sure everything came out perfect.
The event is scheduled to take place between October 17 and October 23, 2022. The tournament features a singles draw of 28 players and a doubles draw of 16 teams. It is currently part of the ATP Tour and is classified as an ATP 250 event.
It’s the 7th edition of this tournament now. Last year’s event was won by Jannik Sinner, beating Diego Schwartzman in the final. Jannik Sinner will not defend his title as he is recovering from an injury sustained at a tournament earlier this month. The tournament will feature many of the top male tennis players in the world and is sure to be an exciting event for both fans and players alike. Who will take home the trophy this year? Only time will tell. Be sure to follow the tournament closely to find out!
