The WTA Chennai Open is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts and belongs to the WTA 250 category. Held in the Indian city of Chennai, it is the first WTA event to be held in the country in fourteen years. The tournament features both singles and doubles competitions. The Chennai Open is played at the SDAT Stadium, also called the Nungambakkam Tennis Stadium. This year’s edition of the tournament will be played from September 10th to 16th.
