The Texas Tennis Open was a professional women’s tennis tournament that appeared on the BTA calendar during the 2011 season.
Hilton Lakes Sports Club was chosen as the venue for the competition; it is located near Dallas in the USA. The tournament’s prize fund was $ 220,000 and was held in August a week before the US Open.
The first champion of Dallas was the German Sabine Lisicki, who defeated the French athlete Aravane Rezaï in the final. In the next draw of this tournament, the Italian tennis player Roberta Vinci won. In the final match, the Italian outplayed Jelena Jankovic from Serbia in two sets.
In 2013, the competition was canceled due to a lack of adequate funding.
