Tennis player from Belarus Aryna Sabalenka overcame the barrier of the second round of the competition in Eastbourne, beating Slovene Tamara Zidansek – 6/2, 6/3.
For 1 hour and 17 minutes of the match, the tenth racket of the world, 21-year-old Arina, recorded five breaks and three aces, having made four wrong mistakes when serving. Her age-mate Zidansek, who occupies 59th place in the world classification, once took the opponent’s pitch, made one ace and two double mistakes. In the 1/8 finals of the Nature Valley International competition, Sabalenka will fight either with German Andrea Petkovic or with Danish Caroline Wozniacki.
