The eighth racket of the world, Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina, in the second round of the competition Nature Valley International lost to Alize Cornet from France, who occupies 55th place in the world ranking, – 3/6, 6/7 (3).
For 1 hour and 36 minutes of the match, Elina made one ace and three breaks, having mistaken twice when serving. Whereas Alize once blew right through and implemented four break points, making seven double faults.
Score in the personal meetings, opponents became 4: 3 in favor of Ukrainian.
In the third round of the tournament in Eastbourne, Cornet will play either with the Australian Daria Gavrilova or with the Chinese Zhang Shuai.
