The 13th world number one, Swiss tennis player Belinda Bencic, in the second round of the Mallorca Open competition defeated the American Shelby Rogers, who ranks 356th in the world rankings. With the score 7/5, 3/6, 1/3 Rogers withdrew.
In the quarterfinals of the tournament in Mallorca, Bencic will play either with the Frenchwoman Alize Cornet or with the American Amanda Anisimova.
