Belgian tennis player David Goffin broke the barrier of the 1/8 finals of the tournament in Halle, defeating Radu Albot from Moldova – 4/6, 6/4, 6/3.
The fight lasted 1 hour and 53 minutes. The 33rd ATP rating number, 28-year-old David, made two breaks and nine aces, making a double mistake when serving. Albot, 29, who occupies the 41st position in the world classification, once took an opponent’s submission, made four aces and one double mistake. The Belgian increased the lead in the personal meetings of the players – 3: 0.
In the match for reaching the semi-finals of the Halle Open competition, Goffin will fight either with American Steve Johnson or with German Alexander Zverev.
