Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova overcame the barrier of the first round of the French Open, beating German Angelique Kerber – 6/4, 6/2.
The match lasted 1 hour and 13 minutes. The 81st racket of the world, 18-year-old Anastasia, sold six break points and made a mistake once when serving. 31-year-old Kerber, the fifth largest in the world classification, three times took delivery of a rival and made two double mistakes.
Before each other athletes have not met. In the second round of the tournament, Potapova will face off with either Chinese Yafan Wang or Czech Marketa Vondrousova.
