The 15th world number one, Swiss tennis player Belinda Bencic, lost to Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic, who is at 63rd place in the world ranking, in the second round of the Internazionale BNL d’Italia competition – 2/6, 6/2, 1/6.
For 1 hour and 57 minutes of the match, Belinda made two aces and three breaks, mistaken 10 times when serving. Whereas Kristina filed five times right through and implemented five break points, making four double faults.
Score in the personal meetings, opponents became 3: 1 in favor of the French. In the third round of the tournament in Rome, Mladenovic will play with Australian Ashleigh Barty.
