Romanian tennis player Simona Halep overcame the barrier of the first round of the tournament in Madrid, defeating Russian woman Margarita Gasparyan – 6/0, 6/4.
For 1 hour and 14 minutes of the fight, the third racket of the world, 27-year-old Simona, sold five break points, made one ace and made four wrong mistakes. 24-year-old Margarita, located on the 65th line of the world table of ranks, twice took delivery of a rival and made four double errors.
