Russian woman Maria Sharapova explained her decision to withdraw from the competition in Stuttgart .
“I apologize to all the German fans who wanted to come to Stuttgart for my game. The recovery process is going well, but I’m not ready to perform at a high level yet,” the tournament press service reports in its microblog on Twitter.
