The 21st racket of the world, Swiss Belinda Benchic, beat the American Alexandra Kiick, who occupies the 146th line of the WTA rating, with a score of 6/0, 6/3 in the second round of the tournament in Charleston.
The meeting lasted 54 minutes. During this time, the 22-year-old Bencic completed four aces, never made a mistake when serving and sold four break points, and the 23-year-old Kiick was noted only with two double mistakes.
Now the score in personal meetings was 2-0 in favor of the Swiss. In the third round of the Volvo Car Open competition, Bencic will cross the rackets with an American Taylor Townsend.
