Czech tennis player Petra Kvitova broke the barrier of the third round of the tournament in Miami, beating the Croatian Donna Vekic, – 6/4, 3/6, 6/4.
For 2 hours and 35 minutes of the fight, the second racket of the world, 29-year-old Petra, made five breaks and four aces, mistaken eight times when serving. The 22-year-old Vekic, who is in 25th place in the world classification, took a rival’s pitch five times, completed one ace and made eight double mistakes.
Czech came forward in the personal meetings of athletes – 2: 1. In the 1/8 finals of the Miami Open competition, Kvitova will play with Caroline Garcia, who beat Julia Goerges in the third round.
