The eighth racket of the world, Dutch Kiki Bertens, beat China’s Xiyu Wang, who occupies the 190th line in the WTA ranking, with a 6/4, 6/1 score in the second round of the Miami tournament.
Tennis players spent on the court 1 hour 9 minutes. During this time, 27-year-old Bertens completed five aces, twice made a mistake when serving and sold four break points, and 17-year-old Wang twice filed, made four double mistakes and did not make a single break.
This was the first official meeting of athletes. In the third round of the Miami Open competition, Bertens will cross the rackets with Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova or Slovakia Victoria Kuzmova.
