French tennis player Gael Monfils broke the barrier of the quarterfinals of the competition in Rotterdam, beating the Bosnian Damir Dzumhur in two sets, – 6/1, 6/2.
The match lasted 1 hour 9 minutes. The 33rd ATP rating number, 32-year-old Gael, recorded five breaks and four aces, erring three times when submitting. 26-year-old Dzumhur, occupying the 56th position in the world classification, once took the opponent’s submission and made one double mistake. The Frenchman has increased the gap in the personal meetings of players – 2: 0.
In 1/2 of the final of the tournament, Monfils will play either with his compatriot Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, or with Russian Daniil Medvedev.
