The Next Gen ATP Finals is an annual hard-court indoor tennis tournament for male players aged 21 and under. It is contested by the eight leading players in the ATP Race to Milan, with each player qualifying by accumulating the most ranking points during the season. This year’s event will be held from 8-12 November at the Allianz Cloud in Milan, Italy. Home favourite Lorenzo Musetti and British Jack Draper are the top two seeds. Race To Next Gen ATP Finals 2022
Race To Next Gen ATP Finals brought together in Milan a great team of young tennis players such as Lorenzo Musetti, Jack Draper, Brandon Nakashima, Jiri Lehecka, Chun-Hsin Tseng, Francesco Passaro, Dominic Stricker and Matteo Arnaldi.
Carlos Alcaraz qualified for the tournament but decided to withdraw for the first time in his career to play in the ATP finals. Dane Holger Rune, who sensationally won the Paris Masters, was named the first alternate for the ATP finals. So he decided to withdraw from the tournament in Milan, where he successfully qualified. His place will be taken by the young Italian tennis player Matteo Arnaldi. Jannik Sinner qualified for the tournament in late September but decided not to participate because he hoped to get to the ATP finals.

What is the format of the Next Gen ATP Finals?
Eight players aged 21 or younger will be divided into two groups of four at the event in Milan. The top two from each group will advance to the semi-finals, playing best of five sets and first-to-four games.
The tournament does not give out points for the ATP rankings. The ATP does not consider it an official victory on the ATP Tour, but matches do count towards a player’s record of wins and losses for the season.

Who Won Next Gen ATP Finals Last Year?
Carlos Alcaraz became the 2021 singles champion in Milan after a 4-3(5), 4-2, and 4-2 victory against Sebastian Korda. The Spaniard will not defend his title this season as he has qualified for the ATP finals.
