Christopher Eubanks is an American professional tennis player who made a name for himself on the tennis court from a very young age. Born on May 5, 1996, in Atlanta, Georgia, Eubanks picked up his first racket at the age of two. This passion for tennis, which began in his early childhood, led him to play college tennis for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. During his time at Georgia Tech, he earned titles like the All-American twice and was named ACC Player of the Year on two occasions.
As he embarked on his professional career, Eubanks achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 74 on May 29, 2023. He also managed to clinch the world No. 182 position in doubles on September 14, 2020. His journey to professional tennis wasn’t linear, and he didn’t frequently participate in international junior tournaments as a teenager. However, his talent was evident as he continued to climb the ranks in his home country.

Who Is Current Christopher Eubanks’ Coach?
Ruan Roelofse
In the year 2022, Eubanks started working with a new coach – Ruan Roelofse, and since then, his career took a significant turn for the better. His partnership with Roelofse began at the US Open 2022, and the improvements in Eubanks’ performance were apparent as he reached his second Major main draw win at the 2023 Australian Open.
Ruan Roelofse, a professional South African tennis player, is not just known for his coaching abilities. Roelofse himself had a successful career with a career-high ATP singles ranking of 357 and a doubles ranking of 122. Roelofse is a decorated player, with six ATP Challenger doubles titles, two ITF singles titles, and 39 ITF doubles titles to his name. He also represented South Africa at the Davis Cup, boasting a winning record.
Under Roelofse’s coaching, Eubanks managed to break into the top 100 ranking in 2023. In the same year, he marked his debut in European grass tournaments and won the 2023 Mallorca Championships. This remarkable performance led to a new career high in the top 50 of the singles rankings.
After his victory at the Mallorca Championships, Christopher Eubanks expressed gratitude towards his coach, Ruan Roelofse. He said, “Ruan and I really worked hard on understanding the nuances of playing on grass – everything from the footing to the types of shots I needed to master. It seems like all that hard work paid off this week.”
Considering Eubanks was outside the top 100 and could not afford a regular coach before Roelofse, this partnership has not only significantly improved his rankings but also his overall gameplay. As Eubanks continues to make strides in his tennis career, it is evident that his collaboration with Roelofse has been a game-changer.
