Stefanos Tsitsipas was born on August 12, 1998 in Athens, Greece. The athlete’s father – Apostolos – tennis coach, his mother – Yulia Salnikova – Soviet and Greek tennis player. The athlete’s grandfather is Sergei Salnikov – a Soviet soccer player and coach. The player has brothers Petros and Pavlos, as well as sister Elizavet – all of them are also involved in tennis.
Stefanos now lives in Nicosia in Cyprus. The tennis player began his professional career in 2016, debuting at the core of ATP competitions the same season, entering the Top 200 and being the highest ranked junior in the world.
