Karolina Pliskova was born on March 21, 1992 in Louny, Czech Republic. Karolina has a twin sister Kristina, who is also a professional tennis player. She began playing tennis at the age of four.
Pliskova began her professional career in 2006. The following season she played in the WTA main draw for the first time and a year later won her first ITF tournament trophy.
Karolina currently resides in Monte Carlo. In her free time, Pliskova enjoys fishing, watching movies, reading books and listening to music.
