Karen Khachanov was born on May 21, 1996 in Moscow. His father, Abgar, played basketball and later became a doctor. His mother Natalia also studied medicine. Karen has a sister Margarita and brother George.
Now Karen lives in Dubai. The tennis player began his professional career in 2013, the same season taking the gold medal at the European Junior Championship and becoming the youngest Russian tennis player to make his debut on the ATP Tour. The same year he made his first appearance for the national team in the Davis Cup.
Favourite surface: clay and indoor hard court. He Calls Marat Safin and Juan Martin Del Potro his childhood idols. In his spare time plays basketball and soccer, and listens to hip-hop.
