Alize Cornet was born on January 22, 1990 in the French city of Nice. Her parents’ names are Francis and Patricia. The athlete also has a brother Sebastien, who is her agent.

Alizée first picked up a racket at age four, following the example of her brother. She began her professional career in 2006. In fact, the athlete made her debut at the Grand Slam home tournament – “Roland Garros” – a year earlier, after receiving a special invitation. Then she managed to reach the second round.

In 2007, Korne entered the WTA Top 100 for the first time. In 2008 she won her debut WTA title in Budapest.
