Aliaksandra Sasnovich was born March 22, 1994 in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Her parents’ names are Alexander and Natalia. The athlete also has a younger sister, Polina.
Alexandra first picked up a racket at the age of nine and started her professional career in 2010. Two years later, she debuted as a member of the national team in the Fed Cup, and a year later she played for the first time at the WTA tournament in Brussels. In 2014, the Belarusian made it to her first Grand Slam tournament, the US Open. A year later, Sosnovich plays in her first WTA final, and in 2016 she debuts in the Top 100.
The favorite stroke is backhand, favorite surface is hard indoors. Speaks English, Belarusian, Russian, and a little French. Dreams of winning Wimbledon one day.
