The 29th World Player, Australian tennis player Alex De Minaur, defeated his compatriot Jordan Thompson in the quarterfinal of the Sydney International competition – 7/6 (4), 6/3.
For 1 hour and 54 minutes of the match, Alex double-handed and blew four break points without double mistakes. Whereas Jordan made two aces and three breaks, mistaking three times when filing. Through personal meetings of opponents was 2-0 in favor of De Minaur.
In the semifinals of the Sydney tournament, Alex will play with either John Millman from Australia or Gilles Simon from France.
