Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas overcame the barrier of the 1/4 finals in Dubai, beating in three sets the Pole Hubert Hurkacz – 7/6 (4), 6/7 (1), 6/1.
The fight lasted 2 hours and 19 minutes. The 11th racket of the world, 20-year-old Stefanos, made four breaks and two aces, mistaken three times when serving. The 22-year-old Gurkach, who occupies the 77th position in the world classification, twice took the pitch and executed seven aces.
The Greek increased the lead in the personal meetings of the players – 2: 0. In the semifinals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, Tsitsipas will play against Gael Monfils.
