Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas broke the barrier of the quarterfinal of the competition in Estoril, beating the Portuguese Joao Domingues – 7/6 (3), 6/4.
For 1 hour and 46 minutes of the match, the tenth number of the ATP rating, 20-year-old Stefanos, made three breaks and ace, mistaken three times when serving. 25-year-old Domingues, who occupies the 214th position in the world classification, twice took the submission of the opponent and did not allow double mistakes.
Previously, the players did not meet each other. In the semifinals of the Millennium Estoril Open tournament, Tsitsipas will fight either with the Belgian David Goffin or with Malek Jaziri from Tunisia.
