Swiss tennis player Stan Wawrinka overcame the barrier of the first round of Wimbledon, defeating the Belgian Ruben Bemelmans – 6/3, 6/2, 6/2.
The match lasted 1 hour 27 minutes. The 19th racket of the world, 34-year-old Stan, recorded five breaks and seven aces, having made a mistake four times when serving. 31-year-old Bemelmans, who occupies 171st place in the ATP rating, made one ace and two double mistakes. The Swiss increased the gap in the personal meetings of players – 2: 0.
In the second round of the tournament, Wawrinka will play with American Reilly Opelka.
