Swiss tennis player Roger Federer overcame the barrier of the first round of competitions in Dubai, beating German Philipp Kohlschreiber in three sets – 6/4, 3/6, 6/1.
The match lasted 1 hour and 35 minutes. The seventh racket of the world, 37-year-old Roger, made seven aces and four breaks, three times mistaking the pitch. 35-year-old Kohlschreiber, who occupies the 31st position in the world classification, once filed through and realized two break points, making four double mistakes.
The Swiss remains the leader in the personal meetings of the players – 14: 0. In the second round of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, Federer will play with Spaniard Fernando Verdasco.
