Swiss tennis player Roger Federer said he will not play this season due to the knee surgery that Federer carried over last week.
“Dear fans!
I hope that you are safe and completely healthy.
A few weeks ago I realized that the rehabilitation process is not working, so I decided to have another arthroscopic surgery on my right knee. Now, as in the 2017 season, I plan to spend enough time on recovery to ensure that I get to the highest level. I will miss my fans and the whole Tour, but I must say that we will see each other again not before the beginning of next year,” – Federer tweeted.
That way, the Swiss will miss Roland Garros and the US Open if they do happen. Federer had his first knee surgery this year in mid-February.
