Swiss tennis player Roger Federer overcame the barrier of the 1/4 finals of the tournament in Dubai, defeating Hungarian Marton Fucsovics, in two sets – 7/6 (6), 6/4.
The fight lasted 1 hour and 55 minutes. The seventh number of the ATP rating, 37-year-old Roger, made two breaks and Ace, making a double mistake when serving. 27-year-old Fucsovics, who occupies the 35th position in the world classification, once took the opponent’s serve and completed two aces.
The Swiss increased the gap in the personal meetings of players – 2: 0. In the semifinals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, Federer will play either with Borna Coric of Croatia or Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili.
