Lithuanian tennis player Ricardas Berankis overcame the barrier of the second round of the competition in Dubai, beating the American Denis Kudla in two sets, – 6/4, 6/1.
The match lasted 1 hour and 14 minutes. The 113th World No. 28-year-old Ricardas made four breaks and three aces. The 26-year-old Kudla, who occupies the 68th place in the world classification, once took the opponent’s service and made two double mistakes. Lithuanian increased the lead in personal meetings of players – 2: 0.
In the quarterfinals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships tournament, Berankis will fight against the winner of the game Frenchman Gael Monfils and Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis.
