Tunisian Malek Jaziri overcame the barrier of the second round of the tournament in Pune, beating in three sets of Ramkumar Ramanathan from India – 6/7 (6), 7/6 (5), 6/3. The fight lasted 2 hours and 46 minutes. The 45th number of the ATP rating, 34-year-old Malek, made three breaks and six aces, making a mistake six times in the presentation. 24-year-old Ramanathan, occupying the 132nd line of the world table of ranks, twice took the pitch of an opponent, made twenty aces and eight double mistakes. Previously, the players have not met each other. In the quarter finals of the Tata Open Maharashtra competition, Jaziri will face off with Belgian Steve Darcis, who defeated American Michael Mmoh, – 4/6, 7/6 (4), 6/2.
