Australian Nick Kyrgios told us why he prefers to train without a mentor.
“In my opinion, a coach is a waste of money. “They get too much. Besides, I don’t aim to win the Slams. I just want to live in my own pleasure and play. For me, having a mentor will be just useless, so I won’t waste their time.
Besides, it’s too late for me to find a coach now, I’m used to doing things my own way and I hate taking advice. I doubt I have a chance to win the Slam title. My body just can’t handle seven matches, which can last three or four hours,” Sports Yahoo quotes Kyrgios.
