Japanese Naomi Osaka commented on her victory in the second round of the US Open.
“Confronting Camila was easier than Misaki, because she attacked more often. It’s been a long time since I’ve met her, but I remember that she is a very versatile tennis player. From the psychological point of view, it helps me that I know what she is capable of. It motivated me to play better and not let her do the winners.
Why did I have a tape on my leg? In the first round I had some small problems. Probably, it is not worth talking about it. Let’s call it prevention.
As for winning the tournament, I stopped thinking about it so as not to put pressure on myself. Of course, I’m doing my best, but I’m still moving from match to match,” the US Open press office quoted Osaka as saying.
