Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev overcame the 1/2 semi-final barrier of the Masters in Montreal, beating his compatriot Karen Khachanov – 6/1, 7/6 (6).
For 1 hour 23 minutes of the match, the ninth racket of the world, 23-year-old Daniel, made four breaks and aces, making a mistake five times in the pitch. His peer Karen, who occupies the eighth place in the ATP ranking, took the opponent’s pitch twice, made four aces and as many double mistakes.
Previously, the score in personal meetings of the players was equal – 1: 1.
In the final of the Rogers Cup tournament, Medvedev will play with Spaniard Rafael Nadal.
