Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov could not overcome the second-round barrier of the Masters in Monte Carlo, losing to Italian Lorenzo Sonego – 6/7 (4), 4/6.
For 1 hour 52 minutes of the match, the 12th number of the ATP rating, 22-year-old Karen, once took the opponent’s submission, made three aces and one double mistake. 23-year-old Lorenzo, who occupies the 96th position in the world classification, made two breaks and five aces.
In personal meetings of players established equality – 1: 1. Sonego’s next opponent in the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters competition will be either Hungarian Marton Fucsovics or Briton Cameron Norrie.
