Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova commented on the decision to withdraw from the tournament in St. Petersburg.
“For several months, I have been hurt by a shoulder injury. In Australia, I was able to play well, but now I feel pain again. Of course, I was very upset, but I just couldn’t play at the level that such a wonderful tournament requires,” Sharapova said at Open Talk.
