The seventh racket of the world, Japanese tennis player Kei Nishikori, in the second round of the competition Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell defeated American Taylor Fritz, who occupies 58th place in the world ranking, – 7/5, 6/2.
For 1 hour 41 minutes of the match, Kei made one ace and four breaks, mistaken three times when serving. While Taylor filed eight times through and realized one break-point, not allowing double mistakes.
Score in the personal meetings of opponents was 2-0 in favor of the Japanese. In the third round of the Barcelona tournament, Nishikori will play either with Felix Auger or with the winner of the match between Malek Jaziri and Guido Andreozzi.
