American tennis player John Isner reached the final of the competition in Newport, beating the Frenchman Ugo Humbert, – 6/7 (4), 7/6 (5), 6/3.
For 2 hours and 44 minutes of the match, the 15th racket of the world, 24-year-old John, once took an opponent’s submission, made 15 aces and four double faults. 21-year-old Humbert, who is 41st in the world classification, made 13 aces and was mistaken five times when serving. Previously, the players did not meet each other.
In the final of the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships tournament, Isner will play against Alexander Bublik from Kazakhstan.
