French tennis player Gilles Simon refused to continue the fight at the tournament in Monte Carlo.
The reason for such a decision of the player was damage to the back, the press service of the competition reports. Thus, Simon’s opponent for the second round match, the Italian Fabio Fognini, became a participant in the third round.
