Spanish tennis player Feliciano Lopez became the champion of the competition in London, beating the Frenchman Gilles Simon – 6/2, 6/7 (4), 7/6 (2).
The match lasted 2 hours and 49 minutes. 37-year-old Feliciano, occupying the 113th line of the world table of ranks, made three breaks and 16 aces, four times mistaken in filing. The 38th World No. 34, Gilles, once took an opponent’s pitch, made eight aces and one double mistake. The Spaniard remains the leader in personal meetings of players – 6: 2.
The title won at the Fever-Tree Championships competition was the seventh for Lopez in his career, bringing in € 429,955 in prize money and 500 rating points.
