Spanish tennis player Fernando Verdasco overcame the barrier of the first round of competition in Eastbourne, beating out beating Australian John Millman – 6/7 (3), 6/4, 6/1.
For 2 hours and 32 minutes of the duel, the 36th World Player, 35-year-old Fernando, made four breaks and 12 aces, making four wrong mistakes when serving. The 30-year-old Millman, who occupies the 58th place in the world classification, once took the opponent’s submission, made four aces and two double mistakes. Previously, the players did not meet each other.
In the second round of the Nature Valley International tournament, Verdasco will play either with Briton Jay Clarke or Argentinian Leonardo Mayer.
