Croatian tennis player Borna Coric broke the barrier of the quarter finals of the tournament in Dubai, beating Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili in three sets – 4/6, 6/2, 7/6 (1).
The fight lasted 2 hours and 27 minutes. The 13th number of the ATP rating, 22-year-old Borna, recorded four breaks and ten aces, making a mistake six times when submitting. The 27-year-old Nikoloz, who occupies the 19th position in the world classification, took the opponent’s serve three times, made nine aces and five double mistakes.
Previously, the score in the personal meetings of the players was equal – 2: 2. In the semifinals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, Coric will play with Roger Federer .
